302 Series - Cutting Slot Style Self Tapping Inserts

These self tapping inserts have an internal and external thread with a cutting slot, to create a wear free and vibration resistant fastening point with high load capacity in materials with low shear strength. Suitable for installation in materials such as light alloys, cast iron, brass, bronze, plastics, laminates and hardwoods.

These self tapping inserts create an internal thread with high pull out strength, this potentially enables a smaller diameter high tensile screw fastening to be used. In certain materials the cutting end of these slotted style self tapping inserts can deflect inwards slightly which creates a slight screw locking effect and if this is an issue the 307/308 series are recommended.

Available in steel, brass or stainless steel.
