307 & 308 Series - Cutting Bore (CB) Style Self Tapping Inserts

Product Details

The 307 & 308 series self tapping inserts have an internal and external thread with cutting bores and are especially suitable for material with difficult cutting properties. Suitable for installation in materials such as aluminium alloys, magnesium alloys, duroplastics and most thermoplastics.

These self tapping inserts create an internal threaded fastening point with high pull out strength, which potentially enables a smaller diameter high tensile screw fastening to be used. For chip-sensitive applications these inserts are also available with closed cutting bores, see type 337 & 338 or 357 & 358 type for closed cutting bores and a closed end insert.

Available in steel, brass or stainless steel.
